The ion/electron behavior in energy devices are affected by the interfaces between components, which determines the overall efficiency. We believe hetero-interfaces will control the charges in materials & hybrids, which makes a breakthrough in energy devices and our life! 1. All-solid-state batteries with thin film technology Thin-film technology allows the systematic study of the interface. It helps us exploring scientific clues for ion and electron dynamics at the hetero-interfaces in all-solid-state batteries. 2. High E batteries An increase in energy density of battery is always a top priority. Hetero-interface studies will provide practical solutions for next-generation Li-S and Li-air batteries. 3. Soft / Wearable batteries Soft batteries are in imperative demands for wearable electronics. Hetero-interfaces manipulation makes batteries to be soft and multi-functional – transparent, electrochromic, integrated, or self-healing, as well as be green. We believe novel batteries will open an era of Battery of Things.
